TRP Winter Sports Program!

TRP is looking to expand our mission by providing alpine skiing (downhill) and snowboarding for winter sport activities. Winter is a difficult time to scuba in the New England area. Winter sports can fill this gap for our community. It can also provide job opportunities for becoming instructors, working with skiers/boarders with disabilities, becoming ski patrollers (safety professionals who provide maintenance, first aid and emergency response services at ski resorts or other facilities) and for other jobs in the ski resort industry.

To get this program started, we are doing an interest survey below. This will help us gauge the program scope, the program needs, and allow us to negotiate with business owners for services and support. We have also added a few tentative mountain dates to the calendar, and can expand that based on interest and engagement.

Update: Vail has offered to provide two days of lift tickets, equipment, and lessons for new/beginner skiers/snowboarders for a few veterans. This is a great opportunity, so make sure to tell you friends and also sign up below to be able to join us for this adventure!

As always, we are also looking for volunteers! So please make sure to note that in the form if you would like to volunteer (and what type of volunteering).
